M Group is completing a complex and fascinating road reconstruction project in the heart of the historic city of Bath.
The road on Manvers Street is built above vaults and concrete slabs that were laid during the second World War. Over time, these slabs have deteriorated, along with the road’s foundations and we’re replacing them to ensure the road’s safety and longevity.
This permanent solution has been designed in collaboration with our partners Bath & North East Somerset Council and Pagabo and will reduce the need for repeated road repairs on Manvers Street.
The road will open at the end of November 2026, in time for Bath’s popular Christmas markets.
