M Group, the UK’s leading infrastructure services company, has completed the acquisition of HVSS, one of the UK’s leading independent connection providers (ICPs). HVSS specialises in the design and delivery of high voltage electrical connections and multi-utility infrastructure.
The acquisition significantly strengthens M Group’s Energy Infrastructure business, adding deep expertise in the UK connections market. HVSS enhances M Group’s capabilities in high-voltage engineering, multi-utility connections, and private electricity network development.
The UK is currently facing unprecedented demand for both new and upgraded grid connections as it invests in renewable energy sources, electric vehicles and data centres. The HVSS acquisition not only increases M Group’s addressable market, but supports a true end-to-end solution for clients, from design through to energisation, and ongoing enhancement and maintenance.

HVSS was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Kettering, with additional offices in Leeds and Cardiff. The company has a highly-skilled workforce of more than 120 people and delivers connections across a range of voltages up to 132 kV. The business serves a broad range of end markets, including industrial and commercial, residential, electric vehicle and health.
