Partnership gives M Group apprentices access to a national network, learning resources and professional development opportunities

M Group has announced a new partnership with the Association of Apprentices (AoA), reinforcing its commitment to supporting apprentices throughout their careers and helping develop the next generation of talent across the UK's infrastructure, utilities and services sectors.

Through the partnership, all M Group apprentices will receive free membership of the AoA, a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping apprentices connect, learn and fulfil their potential.

The platform will complement our two apprenticeship development pathways, Aspire Together and Evolve & Thrive, by providing apprentices with access to additional learning content, development activities, resources and opportunities to connect with a wider apprenticeship community outside of M Group.

The partnership provides M Group apprentices with access to:

  • A nationwide community of apprentices across industries and disciplines
  • Professional networking opportunities and peer-to-peer support
  • Thousands of learning and development resources
  • Guidance to support apprenticeship completion and End Point Assessment preparation
  • Expert-led events, workshops and masterclasses
  • Wellbeing, life skills and career development content
  • Resources that can contribute towards off-the-job learning requirements.

M Group currently supports apprentices across a wide range of technical, operational and business functions, helping to build the skilled workforce needed to maintain and enhance critical infrastructure across the UK.

At M Group, we are passionate about creating opportunities for people to build rewarding and long-term careers. Apprenticeships are a vital part of how we attract, develop and retain talent, and we're always looking for new ways to enhance the experience we offer our apprentices.
Partnering with the Association of Apprentices gives our learners access to a wider community of peers, expert insights and valuable development resources that complement the support they already receive within M Group. We know that apprentices thrive when they feel connected, supported and empowered, and we're delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to all of our apprentices."

Jayne Ellison, Early Careers Manager, M Group

The AoA was established to provide apprentices with the kind of social, professional and developmental networks that can be difficult to access during an apprenticeship programme. Today it supports a growing community of apprentices across the UK, helping members build connections, increase confidence and develop skills that support long-term career success.

Through the AoA's digital platforms, apprentices can access dedicated networking spaces, connect with others undertaking similar programmes, attend virtual and in-person events, and make use of thousands of resources covering technical skills, professional development, wellbeing and personal growth.

The partnership forms part of M Group's broader commitment to developing talent, investing in skills and creating inclusive career pathways that support the future of the UK's infrastructure workforce.
