From concept design through to construction, commissioning and validation, we delivered a fully integrated turnkey solution for Indivior's new state-of-the-art research and development facility.

Client Brief

Indivior, a global leader in addiction treatment, required a new European Centre of Excellence for research and development at its UK site. The facility needed to incorporate cGMP ISO 7 and 8 cleanrooms, research laboratories, offices, storage areas and a Home Office-approved controlled drugs store, while meeting stringent MHRA and Home Office requirements.

Delivered on a brownfield site, the project demanded a highly efficient design and construction approach to meet challenging programme and budget constraints. With research activities being undertaken in rented laboratory space, it was critical that the new facility could be operational as quickly as possible while supporting future growth and long-term operational performance.

The Solution

We delivered a fully integrated turnkey solution, taking the project from concept and detailed design through to construction, commissioning and validation. Working closely with Indivior through a structured optioneering and user workshop process, our multidisciplinary team developed a compliant and efficient facility tailored to the client's operational, regulatory and future growth requirements.

Using BIM-compliant 3D modelling, visualisations and thermal energy modelling, we optimised the design while maintaining control of programme and budget. Following completion of the detailed design, we delivered the construction works as Principal Contractor, ensuring design intent was maintained throughout delivery and validation.

Through careful planning, overlapping construction activities and proactive programme management, the facility was handed over three months ahead of schedule. The completed building achieved full MHRA and Home Office compliance, providing Indivior with a state-of-the-art research and development centre comprising cGMP cleanrooms, laboratories and specialist support areas within a fully validated environment.
