M Group Highways and Hampshire County Council (HCC) have been working together as ‘Hampshire Highways’ since 2017, delivering award-winning highways maintenance and improvement services.

Hampshire Highways covers 8,529km carriageways and 6,115km of footways across the county, typically delivering over 40,000 task orders a year across cyclical maintenance and maintenance schemes; including surfacing treatments and footway resurfacing, drainage replacement or large structural patching programmes.
In addition to highways maintenance, we design and build capital schemes, working collaboratively with the construction team and HCC to provide a full turn-key solution from project inception, business case and design development to scheme delivery and completion.
In 2021, we launched the £2.3m Micheldever recycling facility. As well as reduce the carbon footprint, the site produces products that are used to repair the highway from aggregates taken from our operations.
In 2024, we delivered 99.3% of defect repairs right first time.
Our carbon plan has delivered significant savings and we've delivered biodiversity improvements for all civil engineering projects. Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel is used in all our fleet and we’ve recently trialled an EV gritter.
To date, we’ve processed more than 39,000t of waste into recycled materials at Micheldever. The facility has also saved the client over £5m, saved 480t of CO2e whilst generating an additional £150,000 in income from royalties for HCC. The facility has won numerous industry awards, including a Green Apple Environment Award.
