Integrated Project Delivery for the Nuclear Sector

Client Requirement

For a large-scale industrial process plant, the client required comprehensive engineering design, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation services for the installation of plant and equipment. The project needed to meet all plant requirements, eliminate design gaps, and allow construction to commence with confidence.

The scope covered power distribution systems, lighting, cabling containment, piping and supports, as well as the installation of various specialist equipment.

Our Solution

We utilised our experienced design team to ensure the plant’s requirements were fully met and to address any design gaps. The engineering design scope included power distribution, cabling containment, lighting systems, and piping and support detailing. Following procurement, we managed the off-site fabrication of pipework and supports.

On-site work included the installation of plant equipment such as pumps, process skids, enclosures, large tanks, scrubber towers, and specialist process equipment. The scope also covered an extract and HVAC system, power distribution, control containment, cable routing, control and instrumentation cabling, earthing and bonding, as well as lighting and small power systems.

Our flexible resource pool allowed the team to adjust the number of workers on-site as needed, ensuring a consistent workflow. A diverse range of skilled workers, including project managers, health and safety advisors, construction managers, planning engineers, design managers, and quality control engineers, were available throughout the project.

We worked closely with sub-contractors and OEMs to ensure seamless integration of the various elements of the project, from start to finish.

M Group successfully managed the installation and integration of the plant’s systems, ensuring the project’s objectives were met on time and to the highest standards.
