In 2015, we agreed to provide smart and legacy meter installation and maintenance for EDF Energy’s domestic and Instrumentation and Control (I&C) customers across a third of the UK. 

Our services cover a range of functions including meter installation, quality assurance and auditing, call centre facilities, back-office support and quality assurance. 

Key aspects of delivery include: 

  • Our team of around 600 engineers support our meter readings, with 126 engineers working solely on this contract. 
  • The installation of 125k smart meters in 2023, with higher numbers installed in 2024. 
  • Appointments made by EDF Energy are booked against our capacity offered at up to six weeks from the appointment date. 
  • We’re currently achieving a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 96%. 
  • We’re flexible with our operations and have completed a roaming program to ensure maximum productivity. 

Due to our collaborative success, working to overcome the challenges of smart metering rollout, our contract has been extended. 

Following our excellence in health & safety in the workplace, we’ve been awarded Alcumus ‘Safe Contractor’ status.
