London Gatwick required significant improvements to be carried out to two passenger toilet facilities in the North and South Terminals. The toilets at Gate 55, in the North Terminal, and Pre-Immigration Hall, in the South Terminal, were tired, dated and in need of upgrade.

This scheme required a meticulous end-to-end service from design through to delivery with the team working between the two sites across the airport.

The projects coincided with one another, and over the 10-month period, we demolished the existing facilities and carried out mechanical and electrical works to modernise and upgrade the toilets.

We also delivered drainage and water solutions and once building work was completed, we did extensive testing and commissioning to ensure the projects were aligned with the airport’s standards.

The completion of work offered an improved passenger experience with more modern facilities.

Combining the two projects ensured the client received value for money with the programme being delivered efficiently.
