MBNL has announced that we’ve been awarded the contract to support the future delivery of Inspection & Maintenance (I&M) and Real-Time Operations (RTO) across MBNL’s shared network infrastructure.

The agreement follows a comprehensive procurement process in 2025, with the goal of modernising and strengthening the operating model underpinning MBNL’s mission to manage the mobile infrastructure that enables digital Britain.

Our appointment marks a significant step in MBNL’s multi-year transformation to create a proactive, consistent and risk-informed approach to site operations. We look forward to bringing our extensive capability, strong safety and performance and proven track record in delivering standardised, data-driven operations at scale.

Our work across wider national infrastructure sectors, including utilities, energy and transport, will further strengthen MBNL’s operating model.

Both M Group and MBNL are closely aligned in culture, sharing a strong focus on safety, operational discipline and continuous improvement, making this collaboration a natural fit for MBNL’s next phase of transformation.

Gervase King, Managing Director at MBNL, said: “Our mission at MBNL is clear: to manage the mobile infrastructure that enables digital Britain. This partnership with M Group strengthens our ability to deliver on that mission. M Group’s expertise, scale and safety culture combined with the breadth from working across utilities, energy and transport, will help us modernise how we operate and maintain our sites. Drawing on those cross sector best practices supports our move to a more proactive, data driven approach that enhances consistency, predictability and quality across our entire estate. We’re excited to work together to raise standards and build even greater resilience into the network.

Shirlayne Dunwoodie, Director – Fixed and Mobile at M Group Telecom, commented: “We’re delighted to be collaborating with MBNL to support such a critical part of the UK’s digital infrastructure. Our teams bring deep experience in delivering safe, reliable and insightled operational services across essential national networks. We look forward to collaborating closely with MBNL to deliver a high‑performing, industry‑leading service that strengthens network resilience for the future.

The collaboration will focus on:

·       Establishing a new proactive, riskinformed inspections programme

·       Driving standardisation and consistency in how sites are monitored and maintained

·       Strengthening the end‑to‑end real‑time operational response

·       Improving network reliability through highquality data insights

·       Embedding a safetyfirst culture across all operational activity.

A phased mobilisation will take place during 2026, with new Inspection services planned to go live in May 2026 and Real Time Operation and Maintenance services later in 2026.

As an additional delivery partner,  we will provide services designed to integrate and interlock with MBNL’s established supply chain ecosystem.

Together, we’ll work closely with MBNL through the transition to ensure continuity, stability and sustained operational performance as the new service model is introduced.
