M Group to support Southern Water Metering Programme

M Group Water is pleased to announce it will be supporting Southern Water’s major water meter upgrade rollout.

Building on our longstanding relationship with Southern Water, we’ll be working as the installer on behalf of Horizon Water Infrastructure (HWI), a leading end-to-end metering provider.

The water meter rollout programme, which aims to deliver over one million meters in the next five years, is a major step forward in Southern Water's efforts to accelerate digital transformation within the water sector.

This contract award highlights Southern Water's commitment to adopting future-ready solutions to enhance customer insight and engagement, improve water efficiency, optimise network performance and support environmental sustainability.

Through this project, we’ll be working as part of the Horizon Water Infrastructure Southern Water Alliance (HWI SWS Alliance). The Alliance, led by HWI, is a collaborative partnership, consisting of M Group Water and SUEZ, bringing expertise in delivery, technology and innovation to ensure the success of this ambitious programme.

Working as part of the Alliance, we will take a proactive approach to the replacement of meters to deliver an efficient and cost-effective meter rollout, working in collaboration with our partners and working closely with Southern Water and other stakeholders to ensure positive customer impact and programme success.
