Our M Group Rail & Aviation team is set to enhance airside pedestrian safety on behalf of Heathrow Airport, through the introduction of new airside pedestrian crossings.
This project is significant in improving pedestrian safety at one of the world’s largest airports. Heathrow Airport is actively replacing existing crossings to enhance safety and streamline surface access as part of its wider sustainability efforts.
This initiative will see our team realign kerbs, install new tactile paving, update signage and lay fresh white lining to ensure clear guidance for all users.
We’re set to begin works in early September, with completion in November 2027. Over the course of the project, we’ll install a planned 79 crossings.
As part of our ongoing efforts to support the communities close to our work at Heathrow, we’ll continue to create and get involved in social value projects within the local area.
Dan Smith, Aviation Operations Director at M Group Rail & Aviation said: “ This project builds on our longstanding relationship with Heathrow Airport and we look forward in supporting their plans for fostering a safer and more accessible environment for all passengers and staff.”
