We’re proud to announce the release of our annual Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) & innovation report, highlighting our ongoing commitment to delivering sustainability, ethical practices, community engagement and responsible governance.
At M Group, we’re working to deliver an essential infrastructure that the people of the UK and Ireland need, and the planet deserves. This year’s report brings together the fantastic work that our 13,000 people are doing each day to achieve our ambition to leave a responsible legacy on the environment and society.
Key highlights of our ESG report include:
· We’ve cut our carbon intensity by 12.6% over the year.
· We achieved ‘Committed’ in our first EcoVadis sustainability assessment.
· As a Group, we’ve successfully increased the amount of fully electric company cars to 33%.
· Across our business, we currently have 84 people in apprenticeships with us.
· We’re proud to have welcomed 210 members of the Armed Forces community into roles across our Group.
· We raised over £8,000 for charity and planted 6,200 trees through our People Opinion Survey.
As a Group, we’re anticipating what the future demands. In our latest report, you can find out what we’re focusing on next, including conducting a Double Materiality Assessment (DMA), expanding our inclusion efforts and achieving a 42% reduction in scope 1 & 2 carbon emissions by 2030.
This year, our report includes a number of case studies which highlight the great work our teams are getting involved in to support the communities where we work, introduce innovation to support our clients with their own sustainability goals and support the next generation of highly-skilled people into our industry.
