Recently, members of our M Group Telecom executive team came together to give back to the community close to our St Ives office, by spending a volunteering afternoon at St Ives Foodbank.
Recently, members of our M Group Telecom executive team came together to give back to the community close to our St Ives office, by spending a volunteering afternoon at St Ives Foodbank.
We started the afternoon by splitting into two groups, sorting out the foodbank’s tinned donations by expiry date. We then came together as one team to put them in the storage area in date order.
Spending our afternoon sorting the cans helped to make sure that the tins with the shortest date are used first, meaning the foodbank can support the local community for now, and the future.
Sam Saunders, Managing Director at M Group Telecom private networks, said:” The afternoon was incredibly inspiring. It was a great opportunity to learn about the fantastic work the foodbank does for the community around our St Ives office and gain an insight into what happens to donations when they arrive.”
St Ives foodbank is an independent foodbank that supports everyone in the local community, delivering food parcels of a small range of ‘must haves’ for those who could not get by without.
