Dyer & Butler secures Airfield Infrastructure Framework for Manchester Airports Group

Dyer & Butler, a part of M Group Services, has been awarded a place on the Airfield Infrastructure Framework to deliver airport programmes on behalf of Manchester Airports Group (MAG).

Dyer & Butler, as one of the partners in the Framework, will deliver a substantial body of work to support MAG’s three airports- Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands - as it continues to invest in its airport infrastructure.

The award marks the first time Dyer & Butler has worked with MAG with the Framework commencing from October 2024 and continuing for five years.

Dyer & Butler will leverage its extensive expertise in installing, upgrading and maintaining electrical systems and services covering runways, taxiways, stands and terminals to the UK’s busiest airports. The scope of work will predominantly consist of airfield ground lighting systems (AGL) and associated elements of work such as surveying and airport improvement works.

Supporting MAG’s sustainability targets, Dyer & Butler will drive efficiencies and increase sustainability including the use of electric vehicles and low-energy power sources in place of fuels.

In addition, Dyer & Butler will invest in local people, working collaboratively with its supply chain and communities to offer employment opportunities and supporting MAG’s Connect Airport Academies.

Terry Fitzmaurice, MAG Procurement and Contracts Director said: “ This new Framework will foster a more collaborative relationship between MAG and its designers and contractors, which will help MAG meet its capital investment projects across all three airports.

“Working more closely with our newly appointed partners will also help MAG meet its sustainability targets- including net zero operations by 2038- through more sustainable supply chain practices.

“We look forward to seeking opportunities to work with our partners on projects across the Group.”
