Dyer & Butler completes emergency landslip works in Kent

Following the discovery of movement in an embankment on the railway line near Edenbridge, Dyer & Butler, collaborated with supply chain partners, working safely and efficiently to complete the emergency repair.

As part of the emergency works, the team installed a 60m sheet piled wall at the toe of the embankment followed by 130No 16m long soil nails (hollow steel rebar anchors uncased in high strength grout) to stiffen the earthwork.

Throughout the project, environmental and ecological specialists were on site to minimise any impact on local wildlife. Dyer & Butler worked collaboratively with our client to ensure disruption was minimised, while ensuring the safety of its people and the public as top priority.

The line between Tonbridge and Redhill, which has been closed since Easter weekend, reopened Monday morning.
