We’ve officially been validated for our science-based greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

This achievement marks a significant step in our commitment to combat climate change and align our business practices with the latest climate science. This validation makes sure that the climate action of our own operations is in line with the urgent need to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

Over the past two years, we’ve been collecting information about our carbon emissions to develop a baseline from which to form our carbon reduction strategy. Our data was gathered and shared with external verifiers so that our targets could be evaluated.

Our target demonstrates our journey to achievable emission cuts. We’ve pledged to cut our own emissions (Scoped 1 and 2) by 42% by 2030 against a 2022 baseline year.

In addition, our target for our supply chain (Scope 3 Purchased Goods and Services) is to reduce emissions intensity by 52% per GBP added value by 2030 within the same timeframe.

We continue to work with our clients and supply chain partners to drive the transition to a low carbon economy and create a sustainable legacy.
