We’re proud of our Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) Enterprise programme, which was awarded with the ‘Collaborative Partnership’ Award at Highways UK Excellence Awards 2024.

Our development programme, which is jointly sponsored by Oxfordshire County Council, was introduced in 2023 to strengthen collaboration between our local supply chain partners in Oxfordshire.

Working with Drayton Construction Ltd., Hazell & Jefferies and MJ Titchmarsh Construction Ltd., we have supported these businesses with their development programmes, which has led to an increase in work winning and social value across the contract.

We worked closely with our supply chain partners as part of the audit for our PAS2080 accreditation, demonstrating how alignment around carbon reduction supports delivery benefits, achieving 4,126tCO2e tonnes to date.

Our support has led our supply chain partner, Hazell and Jefferies to save 280tCO2e and reuse 1,950t materials.

Our SME programme has now been rolled out on our Cambridgeshire contract.

ESG drivers shape our sector, driving innovation to tackle client challenges.
